With more than 41 years of experience in the resinous flooring and protective coatings industry, Jim Ziegler brings an unusually broad combination of  technical, field, manufacturing, sales, and business development experience. His career has included roles in quality control, manufacturing supervision, research and development, product management, technical service, field evaluation, contractor training, marketing, and business development.

His experience extends well beyond the laboratory and office. Jim has managed resinous flooring installation crews, worked directly with contractors and applicators, developed contractor quality programs, participated in product development and evaluation, investigated flooring failures, and provided technical presentations and training to architects, engineers, contractors, manufacturers, and facility owners.

This combination of hands-on field experience and technical knowledge provides an independent, practical perspective on how resinous flooring and protective coating systems are designed, manufactured, specified, installed, tested, and expected to perform in demanding environments.

Today, through Ziegler Industrial Coatings Consulting (ZICC), Jim provides independent technical consulting, education, specification and system guidance, field evaluation, testing, and quality assurance services focused on improving the selection, installation, performance, and long-term durability of resinous flooring and protective coating systems.
